Peterson House: The Old Brothel

Formerly known as the Gunanoot House, we have changed the name to reflect the man who built the brothel in the 1928. It was one of at least six brothels on one short street until the early ’50s. With all the others collapsed or burned, Ripley Creek Inn purchased this relic of a by-gone era and moved it to become part of the inn. While renovating the inside, we kept as much of the original structure as possible. It has become one of our most-requested places to stay. Daily housekeeping is not provided.
